Counselling for People Suffering from Depression.

Counselling for Depression

About 2 in 3 adults experience depression at some time in their life. Sometimes depression is mild or lasts just a few weeks. In other cases the symptoms can be more severe and last for months or years.
Symptoms ranging from mild to severe may include:

  • Feeling low, negative
  • Loss of enjoyment and interest in life
  • Lack of motivation
  • Feeling out of control
  • Lack of energy, always tired
  • Sadness, often with crying
  • Feelings of worthlessness
  • Sleeping problems
  • Drug or alcohol misuse
  • Eating disorders
  • Physical symptoms such as headaches, heart palpitations, back problems etc
  • Suicidal thoughts

With counselling we will explore the root causes of your depression. We will try to understand your feelings with a view to lifting your depression.

I provide depression counselling at Openings in Bath, a centre for personal growth and counselling. As an Individual Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I abide by its Code of Ethics.
